You're invited to participate in Assemblymember Damon Connolly's "There Ought to Be a Law" contest. This program allows you to propose new state legislation that could improve the lives of 38.9 million Californians.
Why Your Ideas Matter to Us
As the Assemblymember representing the North Bay, I want to elevate the voices of our community members and bring the ideas of AD12's residents to Sacramento. North Bay residents are passionate, engaged, and involved in their local communities, so I want to hear from you about your ideas for potential legislation that addresses the issues most important to Marin and Sonoma County.
Send Us Your Ideas byFriday, January 31
Proposals can include ideas for local community improvements, statewide reform, revisions to existing laws, new policies, budget requests and funding proposals, and more. To apply, fill out the form below and submit your proposals by the end of January. This contest is open to all AD12 residents.
If your idea is selected, we will email you about the next steps. If you are selected, join us at the Capitol! Contest winners are invited to Sacramento for a tour of the State Capitol and may even have the chance to testify in support of their bill at a formal hearing.
However, the true reward is knowing your idea could become law throughout California!
Sincerely,
Damon Connolly
Assemblymember, District 12
