Where:Online via Zoom. Register for free to receive an email with the Zoom link.
California depends on groundwater for up to 60% of its annual supply in times of drought. The Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) was enacted in 2014 to halt overdraft and bring groundwater basins into balanced levels of pumping and recharge. Under SGMA, basins must reach sustainability within 20 years of implementing their plans.
This event is cosponsored by LWV of the Bay Area and LWV of Solano County and is part of our 2022-23 Climate Speaker Series brought to you by the League of Women Voters of Piedmont and Piedmont Connect.
