Does it matter who is on our local school boards? School board members make many important decisions regarding our children and grandchildren's education, and therefore, their futures.
School board members are elected, and boards hold a lot of power, including selecting a superintendent, determining curriculum, making other administrative decisions, and approving budgets. School districts have the power to put bonds and other taxes to a vote of the citizens in their district.
