The Right Question Institute works to build a more just and equitable democracy. We strengthen people’s ability to ask questions and participate in decisions that affect them. When people of all ages learn to ask the right questions, it leads to feeling a new sense of agency, confidence, and power.
Plain Policy is an AI-powered civic education tool built by three California high school students to help voters, students, and community members understand complex ballot measures and legislative documents. The tool has been verified by the San Francisco Department of Elections for accuracy and nonpartisanship, and is designed to be a neutral, plain-language resource for voters, educators, and community organizations. It will be potentially useful to younger voters.
