Voter Services Committee

The Voter Services Committee is the foundation of the League of Women Voters mission, which is to
provide non-partisan voter education, promote free and fair elections and to provide
opportunities to register eligible voters.

Voter Services is a year-round committee that focuses on sharing voter education with the public and registering citizens to vote. The committee’s busiest times are around elections when the team focuses on:

Organizing and conducting candidate forums
Researching and producing non-partisan information on the pros and cons of state and local ballot measures and
Encouraging candidates to provide information for our Vote 411 platform

Committee members participate in many other important activities during off-election times. We:

Participate in distributing information and registering voters at tables set up at community events along with the Outreach Committee.
Participate in the important work of the Youth Outreach Committee by presenting information on how voting affects Sonoma County high school and college students’ everyday lives.
Participate in Vote Forward, a non-partisan letter writing campaign that encourages voters to vote here and across the country.
Distribute voter registration cards to over one hundred locations throughout the county on behalf of the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters.
Participate in citizenship classes.

All are welcome to get involved in either election or off-election activities.
