Action Alert from LWVUS

Hi everyone,

I'm sure you've been watching the news to see when the US Senate will take up the newly combined Freedom to Vote Act and John R Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.  News media is reporting that the bill will be debated on Tuesday, Jan 18, the day after Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

LWVUS sent out an Action Alert on this.  It is linked here in case you didn't receive it.  The focus is on the US Senators.  They need to hear from constituents that this bill is vital to the health of our form of government.

If you wish to call the California Senators see below for phone numbers.  The message is simple:  Pass the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act!  It's vital to the health of our Democracy. No need for discussion or explanations.
