Strength, & Self confidence
She wrote: “I am the dream…”; she was also a poet, a dancer, a singer, an activist, a scholar, an author, a chef, spoke 6 languages, received the president’s medal of honor, and was the first African American female cable car conductor in San Francisco!
Presenter: Former Healdsburg resident, Mary Lannin, a member of the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee to the U. U. Mint, will discuss the selection process and depictions of Maya Angelou, the first release in the American Women Quarters series program running from 2022 through 2025.
